For this assignment you will read a great variety of short literary texts in the genres of poetry, short story, and essay.

From your reading, choose between 15 – 20 favourites.

A minimum of 4 texts must come from each of the three genres, and no more than 4 total may come from any of the SJR required anthologies for any grade.

Each text must be accompanied by a short piece of original writing to include:

¬ complete bibliographical information

¬ a brief summary of the work

¬ a personal reflection on why you have included this particular text

Your anthology must have an appropriate title. In addition, it must include an Introduction of approximately 200 words, as well as an autobiographical statement of 50 – 100 words.

While each text may be presented in a way that uniquely fits the text, the anthology as a whole must be presented in a way that is cohesive and aesthetically pleasing. Be creative and independent in your response to and working through of this assignment!
